Chocolate Purse Favor, Gift, or Valentine!

Anytime I can find a quick and cute way to package chocolate then I can't wait to try it. One of my downline, Dee Blackburn, made a similar chocolate purse for our team swap and I had to copy it. I'm not sure if I made the folds exactly like hers, but it is close anyway. (I didn't want to take her purse completely apart!) She put a cute flower on hers, but I wanted to tie the Whooo's Your Valentine January Special into it so I came up with the following:

You can fit TWO Ghiradelli Chocolates into this little ditty. Here are the directions:

1) First start with a piece of 3" x 12" cardstock and score it every 3 inches at 3", 6", and 9".
2) Fold it like a "W" like this:
3) On the center fold, cut about 1/2" on each side like so:
4) Take a 1/2" x 7" piece of coordinating cardstock for the handle and slide the ends into the cuts you just created and secure with adhesive.
5) Now just place a brad through the center/top to secure the whole thing together. You can decorate the front and slide two pieces of chocolate into the little pockets. Let me know if you have any questions!

You can click on their titles for the tutorials or more information. Please let me know if you have any questions!

I hope you will join us at the next workshop on Saturday, February 23rd from 9:30am - 11:30am in Fircrest, WA. All products can be purchased on my website. Pin It

La Belle Vie & January Stamp of the Month Card

Here is another teaser from my workshop this Saturday. I combined the La Belle Vie Workshop on the Go Kit with the January Stamp of the Month. I love that the Cricut Artiste Cartridge will cut the Eiffel Tower and the Mon Amour sign out for me! The Black Tulle Ribbon adds a little chic to the card as well. Can you say, "Oooo la la?!"

Whooo's Your Valentine Card

I just LOVE this Whooo's Your Valentine National Papercrafting Month special set! I know owls are all-the-craze right now and I am jumping on the bandwagon! The papers that come with this special pack are fabulous, but I wanted to try something a little different so I grabbed my La Belle Vie papers and combined it with the stamp set.  Here is the stamp set and my card:

  • The heart is stamped with Blush ink and the "XOXO" circle is stamped in black ink.
  • For the owl, I stamped him directly on the Colonial White rectangle with Chocolate ink, then rolled the edges of the owl again with the same ink and stamped it on a scratch piece of Colonial White.
  • I sponged the edges of the owl with Black Ink and then used foam tape to add it right on top of the other owl to give it dimension.
  • I cut strips of the paper and then trimmed an end to resemble a banner
  • The Happy Valentine's Day was stamped in black on the bottom of the Colonial White rectangle.
  • The wooden button has Bamboo Waxy Flax threaded through it and adhered with Liquid Glass
  • The eyes are from the Slate Epoxy Bubbles from the Avonlea Cardmaking Kit
All of the products can be found on my website! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Star Photo Calendar

I originally saw this cute idea on Pinterest and had to give it a try. It took me a while to create the calendar on MS Publisher, but I think it turned out pretty well. I used the Avonlea papers for the front of the calendar and then a variety of retired papers for the inside. Each page contains some of my favorite pictures from the past year. Of course I had to add a little bling to the cover using the Rhinestone Designer Brads. We will make this project at both my team meeting and my January Workshop this month so let me know if you would like to attend! The directions and a link to the calendar are below.
  • Take 3 6"x 12" pieces of cardstock and score them every 3 inches (3", 6", 9")
  • Accordion fold the pieces
  • Place all three pieces in front of you so they resemble three "M's" and stick together like this:

  • The ribbon is secured under the layers of cardstock that are on the front and back.
  • You can find the link to the calendar here: CALENDAR.
  • I printed the calendar on Background and Texture paper from a variety of retired paper packets. This is a great way to use your old papers!
